Using shortcuts

Shortcuts provide a consistent access to Kanzi resources. You can use shortcuts to access resources both in Kanzi Studio and Kanzi Engine.

Shortcuts are not default shortcut keys that provide quick access to commands in Kanzi Studio. See Default shortcut keys.

Creating a shortcut

To create a shortcut:

1. In the Library right-click Shortcuts and select Create Shortcut.
   
2. In the Properties set:
   • Name to the name by which you want to refer to the resource in code.
   • Target to the resource you want to refer to.
   

Using shortcuts to access resources in Kanzi Engine

To use shortcuts to access resources in Kanzi Engine use

/* In a project named Cluster One where Grid list shortcut points to */
/* the resource set by the Target property in Kanzi Studio. */
kzuResourceManagerAcquireResource(resourceManager, "kzb://Cluster_One/Grid_list_shortcut",
	&materialResource");
